A habit tracker you check off right on your Home Screen
The hardest part of tracking a habit is remembering to open the tracker. WidgetAim skips that step: the habit lives on your Home Screen, and checking in is a single tap on the widget.
One habit, one widget, one tap
Each habit gets its own widget. Did it today? Tap the check on the widget and it's logged, without opening the app. The widget shows your week, your streak and your pace at a glance, and a scene that grows with you: a sprout that puts out a new leaf, a flame that burns brighter, a grid of days that fills in square by square.
That's a deliberate choice. Tracker apps with twenty habits on one screen are easy to start and easy to abandon. A widget for each of the two or three habits that matter keeps them in front of you all day, which is what makes a habit stick.
Habits that work well as a widget
- Morning routinesMeditate, stretch, journal, make the bed.
- HealthNo sugar, take your vitamins, drink water, 10,000 steps a day.
- LearningPractice the guitar, read 20 pages, review your vocabulary deck.
- Work and focusDeep work before noon, no phone in the first hour, inbox zero on weekdays.
A habit can run every day or on weekdays only, so a work habit doesn't break its streak every Saturday.
A streak without the guilt trip
The widget shows how you're doing this week and over time, not a red warning. When you hit a milestone, like your first 7 days in a row, the scene marks the moment once and then goes back to rest. Missed a day? The history shows it honestly, and the next check-in starts the streak again.
If you'd like a nudge, turn on reminders: WidgetAim sends one reminder a day, only if you haven't checked in yet, at the time you pick. Check in first and you won't hear from it.
Check in from anywhere
- Home Screen: tap the check on the widget, in small, medium or large.
- Lock Screen: your last seven days beside the clock.
- Apple Watch: check in from the watch app, and keep the habit on your watch face as a complication.
- Siri and Shortcuts: a “check in” action logs today for a habit, so you can add it to your own shortcuts and automations.
With WidgetAim Pro, step and sleep goals fill themselves in: link them to Apple Health and they update on their own. Health data is read on your iPhone, only to update the widget.
Private by design
There's no account to make. Your habits stay on your iPhone, with a backup in your own iCloud that only you can access. Anonymous usage statistics never include what's in your widgets, and you can turn them off.
Questions
Is there a habit tracker widget for the iPhone Home Screen?
Yes. WidgetAim habit widgets come in small, medium and large for the Home Screen and as Lock Screen widgets, and you check in with a tap on the widget itself.
Can I check in without opening the app?
Yes. Tap the check on the widget, on your Apple Watch, or run the check-in action from Siri or the Shortcuts app.
Can a habit skip weekends?
Yes. Each habit can be daily or weekdays only.
How many habits can I track for free?
The free plan includes up to 3 widgets, plus one extra widget on us the first time you reach the limit. Each habit is one widget. Pro removes the limit.
Will it nag me with notifications?
Only if you turn reminders on, and then at most once a day, at your chosen time, and only when you haven't checked in yet.
