Watch your savings goal fill up, right on your Home Screen
Saving for Japan, paying off a card, running 200 km this year? A progress widget keeps the number in sight and tells you, honestly, whether you're on pace to get there by your date.
Any number you want to reach
A Number widget tracks progress toward a target: money, distance, pages, hours, anything you can count. Name it, set where you start and where you want to end up, and add a date if there is one.
- Savings“Save $3,000 for Japan by March.” A coin jar fills as you add to it.
- Paying something downA credit card, a student loan, your weight. The number goes down toward the target, and the scene follows.
- Distance and time“Run 200 km this year”, “40 hours of deep work this month”. A summit flag climbs as you go.
- Small countsBooks read, glasses of water, workouts. A stack of books grows by one.
A number can also start over every day, week or month, for targets like water a day or a monthly spending cap.
Add to it from the widget
Tap + on the widget. For small counts, like books or glasses, that's it: the number goes up by one on the spot. For money and bigger numbers, the app opens straight to the amount, so you can type the $50 you just put aside. On Apple Watch, add to it from your wrist.
Know whether you're on pace
Progress bars tell you how far you've come; they don't tell you whether that's enough. WidgetAim works it out from your own entries: how much is left, how fast you've been going per week, and, if you set a date, how much you need per week to make it. You'll see whether you're on track, ahead or behind, and roughly when you'll get there at the pace you're keeping. All of it is worked out on your iPhone, from the numbers you entered, and only shown once there's enough history to be meaningful.
Example. You want $3,000 by March 14 and have $1,200 with 20 weeks to go. You need $90 a week. If you've been saving $110 a week, you're ahead, and at that pace you'll have it by mid-February.
Scenes that move only when you do
Every kind of goal has a scene: a jar of coins, a tin money box, a summit, a stack of books, a dial for weight. When the number changes, the scene plays once, a coin drops or the flag climbs, and then it rests. Nothing loops in the background. With Pro you can use your own photo as the scene, with the number on top: the place you're saving for.
Your money stays yours
There's no bank connection and no account. You type the numbers you want to track, and they stay on your iPhone, backed up to your own iCloud.
Questions
Is there a savings goal widget for iPhone?
Yes. WidgetAim's Number widget tracks a savings goal on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, with a coin jar or money box scene that fills as you add to it.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. You add amounts yourself, from the widget or the app. Nothing is linked to your bank, and your numbers stay on your iPhone.
Can I track a goal that goes down, like a debt?
Yes. Set a starting number above the target, like the balance of a card, and the widget counts down toward it.
What happens when I reach the goal?
The widget shows the goal as reached. You can then raise the target, set a new one, or keep it as a reminder of what you did.
Can I track more than one savings goal?
Yes, one widget per goal. The free plan includes up to 3 widgets, plus one extra the first time you reach the limit; Pro removes the limit.
